Kelly Childress Lange represents pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on legislative issues before the U.S. Congress and on regulatory matters before the Department of Health and Human Services. She has specific expertise in biodefense and related health security issues, providing counsel to clients from early product development through FDA approval and Federal procurement.
Prior to founding the East End Group, Kelly served as Health Policy Specialist at Foley Hoag LLP, where she founded the firm’s Biodefense and Pandemic Preparedness practice and worked within the Life Sciences Government Strategies group. Her work there included strategic regulatory counseling, legislative advocacy, and advising clients on navigating complex administrative and legislative processes.
Earlier in her career, Kelly served as Policy Advisor to Congressman Mike Rogers of Michigan, where she played a key role in drafting and passing legislation including the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act (PAHPA), the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act), and reforms to Project BioShield. She holds a BA from the University of Virginia and a JD from Catholic University.
